The Delta School District
Content Management System Integration & Infrastructure
The Delta School District brought on XORNOT in 2009 to implement a district wide initiative to have all school web sites in the Delta School District using one unified platform, with greater integration with the main district site. The challenge of the project was to provide a base application that struck the right balance of customization for individual schools while ensuring that training and maintenance time were reduced. In addition, the framework enables the district administrators to receive notifications of all updates to school sites, and allows the schools to publish district content interleaved automatically with their own.
Features of this project include:
- Conversion of schools to new unified framework based sites
- Deployment of automated back ups and version control repositories
- Training of school site administrators
- Publication of district emergency announcements on all school sites
- Modules for all schools to optionally publish interleaved district content
- Development of graphic theming modules for school sites
- Custom job posting modules for Delta School District
